The St. Tammany Art Association wecomes LouAnne Greenwald, Executive Director of the Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, to the Art House on Saturday, July 27, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for a Juror Talk. Greenwald is the juror for the STAA's 54th National Juried Exhibition, the Summer Show. She will shed light on how she composed the 2019 show.

Since taking on the tenure position at Hilliard in July of 2014, Greenwald has enriched and engaged the arts community throughout the Acadiana region, using her position at the museum to bridge the local culture of the University and community to a broader, national and international discourse.

Greenwald’s experience in museums and galleries is prolific. She has assumed roles as a curator and educator for the National History Museum of Los Angeles County, MOCA Los Angeles, and the MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles. Prior to her position at UL-Lafayette, Greenwald worked as a consultant in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles raising funds for educational institutions. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the LSU Museum of Art in Baton Rouge and is the Louisiana representative for the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries. Greenwald received her MFA from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and received CFRE certification in 2013.

Admission is free to this event. The Summer Show, an annual highlight of the nonprofit arts organization, is open to artists nationwide who must submit works completed in the past two years. The exhibition closes August 17 during Covington White Linen for Public Art, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
