Celebrate the start of the season with “Swingtime In Springtime,” on Thursday, April 6 in an evening of local jazz music featuring five outstanding local talents. On the bill are, on trumpet, Wendell Brunious (Wendell Brunious Project); on vibes/percussion, Jason Marsalis (21st Century Trad Band, Jason Marsalis Vibes Quartet); on upright bass, Richard Moten (Richard Moten Trio); on clarinet, Dr. Ben Redwine (Redwine Jazz Band); and on banjo, Don Vappie (Jazz Créole, Creole Jazz Serenaders). These renowned musicians join their talents together for the first time to present this spectacular evening of musical variety. The concert will feature original compositions showcasing the artists’ individual crafts, as well as traditional jazz favorites.

Jefferson Ave, Covington. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $35 for VIP seating. Student and educator tickets are free of charge with a limit of two tickets per order.
