The Lobby Lounge at The Harbor Center in Slidell presents its next "Up Close and Musical" concert of 2023 on Tuesday, April 25 with New Orleans-based vintage French jazz band Pardon My French! New Orleans-based vintage French jazz band, Pardon My French! began as a collaboration between NYC swing guitarist Pete Rozé and Memphis-born actress/singer Caroline Fourmy. They loved the sound of Edith Piaf and Charles Trenet tunes and soon expanded their repertoire to include Serge Gainsbourg, Eartha Kitt, and Pink Martini favorites. With the addition of New Orleans native and traditional jazz star Joshua Gouzy on bass and classical composer, accordion, and world music aficionado Michael Ward-Bergeman on accordion, the quartet began playing house concerts and intimate venues throughout New Orleans. An album and video later, they found themselves touring (and having to learn French!).

The Lobby Lounge is a listening room venue inside The Harbor Center in Slidell. The concert series features nationally touring acts throughout the year, focusing on artists from the worlds of indie rock, folk, country, jazz, blues and more. Performances are acoustic or lightly amplified, in a Bohemian-style, smoke-free, 100-seat venue.
