Giddy Up Folsom is a beautiful cafe in the heart of Folsom that's part coffeehouse, part community meeting place with a lovely, dog-friendly outdoor patio and open area called The Paddock. A community market takes place every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with live music starting at 3 p.m. (bring a chair!). 

Vendors vary from week to week, with some 20 local growers and makers with a variety of goods, including food, body care items and fine art. Vendors have included Dusty Roads Farms (eggs and veggies), Wild Thyme Farm & Nursery (plants), Covey Rise Farms (veggies), Backwater Foie Gras (duck), Threefoot Mushrooms (mushrooms), Ryan's Kitchen (jam & pickles), Happy Flour Bakery (breads) and others with prepared foods, meats, organic skin care items and more.

Get your fill of fine art next door at the adjacent Far Horizons Art Gallery, and your fill of tasty morsels in the café, which serves coffee, tea, smoothies, pastries, paninis and soups. It is open daily; 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday-Thursday, and Friday, 7 a.m.-8 p.m.

When in season, be sure to stop next door at Bee Sweet for a snowball with traditional or house-specialty flavors made from natural fruit purees or honey-sweetened (open seasonally Monday-Sunday, 1-6 p.m.).
