The Otis House Museum at Fairview-Riverside State Park will have vintage Valentines, post cards and various seasonal greeting cards on display through the month of February in honor of Valentine’s Day. Incorporated into the tour, learn a bit of history about this popular holiday while viewing vintage valentine’s, hand embroidered postcards, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas cards as well. This program celebrates all the holidays, many of these cards are adorned with their 1-cent postage stamps attached.
The program is free with museum admission of $4 per person aged 13 – 61, ages 12 and under or 62+ are admitted free. The park is always open; however, the Otis House hours vary Tuesday through Saturday. Please call 985-792-4652 to schedule a time to tour.
Fairview-Riverside State Park is located one mile east of Madisonville on LA-Hwy. 22 in St. Tammany Parish.
The site includes camping, a day-use picnic area on the banks of the Tchefuncte River, and Otis House Museum.
