This you-pick blueberry farm in Bush is open for only six (or so) weeks per year in late May and early June, but you'll want to "get while the gettin's good" for these organic blue gems. You'll want to check their website for daily updates on picking days and open hours, but gates usually open at 7am and close at 3pm. Payment accepted includes Cash, Check, Credit Cards (Visa,MC, AMEX and Discover).
One-gallon buckets are provided, plus a plastic liner bag for you to take your berries home. Bring shoes you can get dirty (rubber boots are great), sunscreen & hat, water (bottled water is also available for purchase), family or friends and a sense of adventure. However, no pets are permitted, and no smoking is allowed anywhere on the farm.
Blueberry varieties include Premier (early; sweet and big), Alapaha (early; sweet, medium-sized with a hint of spearmint), Climax (early; sweet, big to medium sized) and Powder Blue (late; sweet, medium).
