Hailing from the Lake Como region of Milan, Caesar and Roberta Calovini create traditional and innovative, authentic Italian food in a warm, romantic atmosphere. The menu features fresh, local ingredients and incorporates a variety of meats--chicken, duck, seafood--like the fresh catch of the day--and veal, the star of the show every Thursday, when the dinner special is Veal Osso Bucco shank with risotto. Pastas and breads are made in-house by hand (no preservatives!), including stuffed ravioli and angel hair spaghetti. Regulars love the bruschetta appetizer, Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli, gnocchi, lasagna made with fresh pasta, Bolognese sauce and Parmesan. Try the Cannelloni Di Magro--egg pasta wraps stuffed with spinach, fresh and salted ricotta and marinara sauce. The menu also includes vegetarian and gluten-free options, a kids' menu and enough desserts to make a separate menu, including tiramisu, cake with limoncello and mascarpone, amaretto mousse, Belgian chocolate with whipped cream and more, plus cappuccino and espresso.
