Authentic Cajun cuisine for lunch and dinner, and Sunday brunch. Blue Plate Specials offered daily.
Fried platters have all the seafood faves in various combinations: soft-shelled crab, shrimp, catfish, oysters, hushpuppies, fries and coleslaw. Love shrimp? Try the Trawler: bacon-wrapped, fried, fried & stuffed, grilled, with a side of shrimp étouffée.
Lunch features salads, sandwiches, poboys, wraps and pastas. Dinner features pork ribeye, steak ribeye, grilled or blackened chicken breast or fish of the day, hamburger with fried egg, soft-shelled crab served over corn grits, thin-fried catfish, Cajun chicken parmesan, and of course, étouffée, the family's special recipe from Cut Off, Louisiana--a hearty Cajun stew served over rice, with choice of crawfish or Gulf shrimp.
Naturally, gumbo is on the menu, as well as corn & crab bisque and crawfish boil soup, and on the lighter side, salads topped with seared Ahi tuna, lump crabmeat, pan-fried crab cake and more.
With twelve different sides to choose from, plus desserts and drinks--beer, wines, specialty cocktails (try the Boss Pere, a 22 oz. "down da bayou" family recipe) and seasonal frozen drinks, you'll find you need many visits to try all the scrumptious offerings.
