The Covington Food Bank Resale shop serves the community through raising funds which support food bank programs. The Resale shop regularly provides clothing and housewares free of charge to individuals in need, including Food Bank participants, people impacted by disasters such as fires or flooding, as well as those participating in programs at other non-profits including Safe Harbor, Family Promise, James Storehouse and more. One-hundred percent of net profits goes toward feeding 5,500 people annually with over 1,000,000 pounds of food across St. Tammany and Washington Parishes.
The Resale Shop relies solely on the generosity of the Northshore community, accepting and selling donations of everything from major appliances in good working order to like-new, gently used furniture, antiques and rare items, bikes, skateboards, scooters, clothing, home décor, housewares, small home appliances, jewelry, movies, music, purses, luggage, shoes, sporting goods, tools and board games.
Open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 9:30 am to 4 pm. Closed Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Online shopping is available on the website. Donation drop off hours: Monday and Tuesday 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
