Local artist & framer Michael Pizzella offers custom framing and original fine art. The New Orleans-born artist, now residing in Abita Springs, works primarily with oils on canvas and sells work in the framing store along with other local fine artists. Original art themes feature Louisiana wildlife and botanicals, landscapes and small town scenes, New Orleans city skylines and streetscapes, and iconic Louisiana and New Orleans images. Commissioned work may include portraiture, home, storefront and pet portraits, live wedding paintings and more. Framing uses conservation materials (UV protection and acid-free) and includes matting, glazing and moulding; objects framed may be paintings, photos, memorabilia, diplomas, etc. Custom work includes shadow boxes, floater frames and other intricate framing.
