Authentic Thai cuisine that rivals top Thai restaurants across Greater New Orleans awaits you in this out-of-the-way cafe, located just off the spur from E. Causeway Approach and US-190.

On the menu are classic Thai favorites--noodle soups, Pho, curries with jasmine rice and stir fry combinations--though there's nothing ordinary about the mouthwatering dishes at Ploy's Kitchen. You could make a meal of the delicious appetizers, from steamed pork-shrimp-vegetable dumplings to crispy calamari, pork rolls and coconut jumbo shrimp, or their Crab Rangoon, served just right as a crispy fried dumpling stuffed with cream cheese, lightly flaked crab stick, onion and carrot. The roti with red curry dipping sauce is not to be missed. But you'll want to save room for Ploy's entrées.

Soups, curries, wok-fried rice and noodle dishes are all top notch, though you might never try another dish after tasting their Khao Soi--yellow coconut curry sauce with steamed egg noodles, pickled mustard, three kinds of onion, chilies in oil and cilantro topped with crunchy noodles.

Open for lunch and dinner six days a week (closed Mondays), lunch specials are offered Tuesday through Friday. Dine in or take out; catering and delivery (Waitr, DoorDash) are available.
