**AS OF SEPTEMBER 2021: The St. Tammany Art Association's home, also known as the Art House, sustained significant damage due to Hurricane Ida and is closed until further notice. Art classes and other programming are being held at 323 N. New Hampshire St.
When open, the historic building houses continuous rotating exhibits in three gallery spaces by regional and national artists, including juried competitions and a gallery of works by member artists, as well as studio art education for children and adults. The member-based organization also produces the popular Spring for Art and Fall for Art events each year. The gallery is usually open Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
The St. Tammany Art Association (STAA) is a member- and community-supported 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Serving as a catalyst for the arts, the organization’s Art House building serves the needs of emerging and established artists in the region. The STAA provides arts education to artists of all ages and experience levels through a wide variety of media, exhibition opportunities to artist members and visiting artists, and direct community engagement arts market to the community. It is also the producer of the Covington Art Market, in conjunction with the City of Covington, annual festivals Spring for Art and Fall for Art, and other community activities.
