Also known as The Book Nook, The Book & The Bean brings together the timeless pairing of books and brew. The bookstore teamed up with small batch coffee roaster, Flamjeaux Coffee Company*, to bring you fresh-roasted (in Mandeville), Arabica washed coffee from the green beans of the volcanic, west-central area of Colombia, high in the Andes mountains.

The shop offers a variety of roasts and chicory coffee, hot and cold brews, teas and pastries including muffins, croissants, biscotti and scones. Get your coffee to go or take outside along with your new books to shady patios in front and back. The store offers a wide variety of books, including: fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, religion, romance, children's, coloring books, holiday, sci-fi/supernatural, self-help/motivational, suspense/thriller, true story/biographies, young adult/teen/tween and young reader. You'll also find a selection of local authors--follow The Book & The Bean on Facebook for news about author signings and book club.

Housed in a 19th Century home, The Book & The Bean is also a gift shop with a country flair, carrying a variety of handmade items including handmade candles and soaps; original fine art, photography, jewelry and accessories; home décor, frames, ornaments, wine accessories and more.

The Book & The Bean is open Tuesday-Thursday 7am-12pm, Friday & Saturday 7am-2pm and Sunday, 7am-12pm. Closed Mondays. *Flamjeaux is named for the Flambeaux--"flames in French"--used by Krewes in the parades and festivities of the Carnival season.
