This cafe has just about anything that makes you say yum-yum! From American to Italian to Louisiana cuisine, Chef Bonnie Copeland prepares something to satisfy everyone in your crew. Start with a fresh green salad or hot appetizer--a bowl of chicken, sausage & okra gumbo, hand-picked, salt bayou crab cakes smothered in remoulade or a homemade crawfish pie. Follow it up with one of "Maw Maw's Home Cooking" plates, like Red Beans & Meat, served over rice with cornbread and greens, or the Southern Fried Yard Bird, four pieces of bone-in, deep fried chicken with your choice of 12 Southern-style sides. Or, go for a seafood platter of shrimp, catfish, crab cake and crab claws, or the Bayou 'Que barbecue plate of Pappy's Famous Ribs (or pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken or smoked sausage), complete with slaw, fresh greens, homemade cornbread, baked beans or yams. Maybe you're on the go--carry-out is available. Take your pick of po-boys, including sausage, shrimp, roast beef & gravy, turkey, fried chicken or catfish, or sample a few with their signature Kingston, a trio of catfish, shrimp and crab cake mini-po-boys. Yum Yum's also has classic burger-and-fries combos, although you may be tempted by the Surf and Turf, a beef patty topped with jumbo fried shrimp, melted mozzarella and remoulade sauce on a brioche bun. Italian lovers, there's a menu for you, too: build-your-own pizza, classic lasagna, Eggplant Napoleon Parmesan, or pasta dinners served over noodles with red gravy and a side. Pair it all with a cocktail, wine or beer and finish with a coffee and a selection from the dessert cart for a satisfying lunch or dinner daily and brunch on Sunday. Excellent!
