Adult Wheel Throwing Classes

Wheel throwing sessions are held once a week for four weeks. With small class sizes, students will enjoy individual guidance based on their skill level. In the first two classes of the session, students will learn the basics - making items such as mugs, bowls and plates. The experienced potter will explore more advanced skills. On average students can make 4-6 pieces in these two classes. In the third class students will trim and add finishing touches. The last class and final step is to brush on the glazes. Finished pieces will be kiln fired and will be available to pick up within 2 weeks. All supplies are included. To see a list of sessions offered and to register, click the “Classes” tab on the top menu.

Workshops

The Little Potter’s House offers special two and three day workshops throughout the year that you can schedule on our website calendar. These workshops are great fun for groups to get together. Additional workshops are organized by The Little Potter’s House and are scheduled around special occasions, like Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day, for example. These are posted as separate events on the Workshop page. Click the “Workshops” tab for details about upcoming workshops or to schedule your own workshop.

Co-op Membership

For the experienced independent artist, we offer a co-op membership. Under this program, artists pay a monthly fee and enjoy use of the studio space and equipment - worktables, pottery wheels, a slab roller, etc. - during open studio times. The artist provides tools, glazes and studio-approved clay and The Little Potter’s House does the kiln firing. A limited number of firings are included in the monthly fee. Click the “Co-op” tab for studio times and details.

Gift Cards

We offer digital gift cards you can purchase right here on the website as well as hard copy gift cards in envelopes that you can purchase in the studio. These are a great gift option as they can be applied towards any of our classes or workshops and even towards pottery purchases in our members gallery. Click the “Gift Cards” tab for details.

Gift Shop

The Little Potter’s House supports it’s co-op artists by offering a place to exhibit and sell their works of art on our website and in the studio year round as well as at our special art markets. Click the “Shop” tab to view a sampling of pottery and stop by the studio to shop and support your local artists.
