THINGS TO DO, COVINGTON
The historic district that is downtown Covington is all about food, culture and enjoying life. Art galleries, boutiques, quirky shops, antiques and more than two dozen restaurants make Covington a great getaway. You can rent a bike for a pedal on the scenic Tammany Trace or a paddleboard for exploring the Bogue Falaya River. Check out fine, regional art or a 19th-century general store on Columbia Street. Have high tea on Rutland or a microbrew on Lockwood before hunting treasures in the cottages on Lee Lane. Parking’s free in the walkable district that hosts frequent and free concert series, art walks and festivals, and a foodie’s dream of a farmers market.
