Guasco new Chief Marketing Officer for Louisiana Northshore
MANDEVILLE, LA - The St. Tammany Parish Tourist and Convention Commission (Louisiana Northshore) announced the hiring of Katie Guasco as Chief Marketing Officer.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Guasco will oversee a team of marketing staff members and report to President and CEO, Donna O’Daniels. She will be responsible for the Commission’s brand strategy, marketing, advertising, public relations, digital and print content, social media and the St. Tammany Film Commission.

Guasco has nearly 20 years of marketing experience and began her tourism career in 2006 at Visit Baton Rouge, holding various titles from Destination Services Manager to Senior Sales Manager of Tourism Development for the domestic and international markets, and finally the Director of Marketing.
In addition to her destination marketing experience, Guasco most recently was the Vice President of Advertising at Hoffman Media, LLC, a leading special-interest publisher. She worked directly with clients throughout the region to build targeted marketing campaigns across print, digital, social media, events, and custom content platforms while supervising a team of 10 across the country. She was the top Regional Advertising Director in the company’s history, breaking all previous records and individual sales goals.
Guasco is also a Certified Travel Industry Specialist, a Southeast Tourism Society Travel Marketing Professional and a graduate of the Louisiana Tourism Leadership Academy.

In 2022, The Louisiana Travel Association recognized the Louisiana Northshore team with the Louey Award for “Outstanding Convention and Visitors Bureau/Tourist Commission of the Year (budget from $1 million and above)” at its annual meeting.
Guasco graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, as well as a Master of Public Administration degree.
Guasco’s hire comes after Louisiana Northshore’s promotion of Roberta Carrow-Jackson to Manager of Film and Digital Communications and Sarah Hill as Manager of Marketing Strategy and Brand Content, in addition to hiring Erica Glory as Manager of Social Media and Community Relations in 2022.
