The historic district that is downtown Covington is all about food, culture and enjoying life. Art galleries, boutiques, quirky shops, antiques and more than two dozen restaurants make Covington a great getaway. You can rent a bike for a pedal on the scenic Tammany Trace or a paddleboard for exploring the Bogue Falaya River. Check out fine, regional art or a 19th-century general store on Columbia Street. Have high tea on Rutland or a microbrew on Lockwood before hunting treasures in the cottages on Lee Lane.
