HOTELS, MANDEVILLE
Until Comfort Suites was built in Mandeville in 2014, there were no hotels in the town itself. Until then most visitors wanting a hotel stay in minutes-away Covington, where they have their choice of numerous well-known chain properties. There are, however, several lovely Bed and Breakfasts, all within short walking distance to the lakefront and Old Mandeville’s restaurants and brew pubs, offering visitors a chance to unwind and relax. Also popular are the Fontainebleau State Park cabins, which are built Louisiana “camp-style” on pilings out over the waters of Lake Pontchartrain.
