Bush, LA
The rural town of Bush is located just about 15 minutes northeast of Covington. Visit Wild Bush Farm & Vineyard, formerly known as Pontchartrain Vineyards, to sample its award-winning wines including Le Trolley, Rouge Militaire and the Port of New Orleans. Music lovers enjoy the Vineyards' fall and spring outdoors concert series, Jazz'n the Vines, featuring talented musicians like Don Vappie and Charmaine Neville. The old world-style tasting room is located next to the estate vineyards. Neighboring vineyards, LA Serendipity, also is open for tastings by appointment. Splendor Farms is a popular spot year-round. The bed and breakfast also is a family-friendly attraction featuring tubing on the river, horseback riding, a dachshund kennel, and a petting zoo.
